Helena Valley Growth Management ALERT
SUPPORT BETTER MANAGED GROWTH IN THE HELENA VALLEY

Uncontrolled growth is ruining Helena’s Prickly Pear Valley. Plan Helena, the Montana Smart Growth Coalition, and MEIC members have worked tirelessly over the years to develop tools for the County to manage this growth.
The Development Standards Working Group, which is a diverse group that includes conservationists, smart growth advocates, local builders, fire fighters, water experts, and others, is now seeking public comment on its proposal.
The DSWG needs to hear from you by May 7th. This proposal is a step in the right direction. County government needs more effective tools to manage growth. Your specific questions and comments will help the DSWG deliver a better recommendation to the planning board by May 31.
- Read the 15-page DSWG proposal.
