Support MEIC

There are many ways to support MEIC.

Colter in BeartoothsFor more than 30 years MEIC has been working hard for people like you who care about Montana’s future. MEIC will be your voice on issues ranging from global warming to water and air quality to hardrock mining, and sound land use planning. MEIC has a proven track record, and the experience and expertise needed to get the job done.

When you join MEIC, you will join thousands of others—not just throughout Montana, but across the United States, and around the globe!—dedicated to protecting Montana’s environment. One of the membership benefits you’ll receive is our quarterly newsletter to keep you informed on critical issues.  But even more important, you'll know you are making a difference in protecting Montana's natural environment.

You can make an annual contribution by choosing one of several membership levels or by joining MEIC’s monthly giving Pledge Program.

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 gives older individuals a new opportunity to make charitable contributions directly from their IRA accounts.  If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can make a direct transfer to a charitable group, such as MEIC, without increasing your taxable income or paying any additional tax.

Overheard...

"Choosing shorts or long underwear on a particular day is about weather; the ratio of shorts to long underwear in the drawer is about climate."

~ Charles Wohlforth, The Whale and the Supercomputer: On the Northern Front of Climate Change (North Point Press, 2004, p. 150)
