Monthly Pledge Program

Join MEIC’s Pledge Program!

When MEIC was starting out, monthly pledge donors were its only source of income. More than 30 years of protecting Montana’s natural environment have gone by and the Pledge Program is still a vital part of MEIC.

The Pledge Program is a convenient way for you to support MEIC and its work to protect Montana’s natural environment. It’s simple—you can pledge any annual amount and make payments in 12 installments. For example, you could pledge $120 for the year, and pay just $10 a month—that’s only 33 cents a day! And it gets even easier! Sign up to pay monthly with your credit card or by automatic withdrawal from your bank account, and we’ll take care of it for you. You can change your pledge amount or cancel your pledge at any time.

Pledge members help provide the predictable income that helps keep MEIC at the forefront of environmental advocacy in Montana. Many people choose the pledge option either because it's a more convenient way to contribute to MEIC, or because it's easier to spread their giving out over the year.

Please help to secure Montana’s environment for future generations by joining the Pledge Program today.

Overheard...

“The idea of turning coal into liquid fuels for our cars it's, it's insane. And here is why: it is true that if you looked only at the dependence of the United States on foreign oil and if you didn't care about anything else in the world, it would be theoretically possible, at huge expense, to squeeze liquid out of coal and put it into gas tanks. It would be enormously expensive. But the other problem is it would vastly increase the amount of CO2 from each gallon of fuel that is burned. We've got to walk and chew gum at the same time. We've got to end our dependence on foreign oil and save the habitability of the planet by switching not just from oil to coal-to-liquid, but from fossil fuels to renewable energy.”
